1992: Paolo Apollo Negri (born 1979) starts his musical career with prog trio Nice Price, realizing a mini-album and a few compilations. The Hammond organ, his primary instrument, is soon joined by several vintage machines: Moog and ARP synthesizers, electric pianos, Eminent and Mellotron to name just a few.

1997: his long standing collaboration begins with The Link Quartet, a sixties lounge/acid jazz ensemble. Beginning with two 45s and the first album "Episode 1" (2001) for Spanish label Animal Records, The Link Quartet sign to Hammondbeat Records to release "Beat. It" (2002), "Italian Playboys" (2004), "Evolution" (2006), and "Long Live The Link" (2007) - as well as several bootleg/fanclub cds along the way, and a new 2008 release in production. On "Italian Playboys", the band worked with Dj Ninfa, Doug Roberson and Eddie Roberts from The New Mastersounds. The Link Quartet are also involved in several compilations and works with some of the most important labels from Europe and USA (such as Sony, Acid Jazz, Saifam). With this band Paolo performed all over Europe and the USA, meeting on the stage musicians like Manu Chao, Brian Auger, The Yardbirds, James Taylor Quartet, Bonniwell Music Machine, The Chocolate Watchband, Big Boss Man, The Men from S.P.E.C.T.R.E., Diplomats of Solid Sound, Downliners Sect, Montefiori Cocktail, Boogaloo Investigators and many more.

2000: joins the Wicked Minds, a hard-progressive band with whom he recorded 3 albums (and counting), the first for W-Records (Italy) and now signed to Black Widow Records (Italy). "Witchflower" included a live DVD, receiving the ovation from a great number of specialized magazines all over the world. Wicked Minds perfom across Europe, and have shared the stage with Delirium, Areknames, Osanna, Mr.Man, Colour Haze, Siena Root, Birth Control and many others and appearing, among the others, at Burg Herzberg Festival (2006) in Germany with Soft Machine, UFO, Wishbone Ash, Hatfield & The North and Greg Lake.

2001: plays on the main stage of Arezzo Wave with John Belpaese, opening for Max Gazzè. Paolo records the Ray Daytona and Googoobombos album "Fasten Seat Belt (2002) for Ammonia Records (with the incredible cover done by Winston Smith). The album is followed by an intense live tour in 2003. In the same period he collaborates with Titty Twisters Orchestra recording an album for Gonna Puke Records (Italy) and playing at the Wild Weekend in Spain.

2005: records an album for Misty Lane (Italy) and single for Crusher Records (Italy) with Mastica, a psychedelic prog band considered one of the best bands in the sixties circuit and, after many gigs all over Europe including preformances at the Magic Festival in Spain, the Beat Bespoke in London, and a tour in Finland and Sweden. A new album for Sound and Vision (Italy) was recently completed.

2006: a new collaboration with the new born UP-ALL-LOW records, a small Italian label devoted to experimental sounds, the first recording "The day the time machine got broken" was a studio live performance in duo with Lucio Calegari (guitar) of Wicked Minds and only available via the internet. This same year he starts a collaboration with Dj Henry Lazzeri, well known in the mod scene, creating Party Hard, an explosive duo devoted to Hammond Groove and Soulful House, and records his first solo project "Applecore" EP, a loving instrumental tribute to 60 soul-jazz underlining his unique style and skillness in the use of the Hammond organ.
